At our Main St. location (329 E. Main St. Carnegie, PA. 15106) we offer in person classes, workshops and camps. This is also our main office and shop location. Our policies for in person classes are provided below.

Otherwise the following policy is in effect:
Fully Vaccinated Individuals – Masks are optional.
Non Vaccinated Individuals – Masks are required including children.
Exceptions are when an instructor requires masks.
Our staff and instructors are fully vaccinated.
All students and customer may not enter our space if they are exhibiting signs of illness such as a cough, fever, sore throat or loss of taste or smell as these may be signs of a Covid infection. In addition, if you have been in contact with anyone suspected or known to have Covid you may not come into our space or attend class.
We are closely monitoring CDC recommendations and will alert students and customers to any changes in our policy. Please refer to our updated Cancellation Policy below for how we handle class credits.
All students are responsible for their own space management based on their own comfort level.
Ages for Adult Classes
Students must be 18 and over to attend an adult class alone. Students 16 and over may attend a class with another registered adult.
Students must cancel their class registration within 72 hours of the beginning of the program to receive a full refund. Students that must cancel after this timeframe due to illness will receive a gift certificate which can be used for future educational programs or merchandise. Cancellations can be made by emailing email@example.com or by calling 412-341-2299 and SPEAKING to an Artsmiths’ Manager. Occasionally, classes are cancelled due to weather, insufficient enrollment or other circumstances. The decision to cancel a class or camp may be made up to 24 hours before the class begins. In such cases, we will notify you by email and the full class fee will be refunded.
Our classes take place at 329 E. Main Street in Carnegie, PA 15106 in our main classroom unless otherwise specified. We also operate a small back classroom and a large outside tent in our parking lot. If classes are not taking place the main classroom, it will be specified in the registration information. There is free on street parking on weekends and paid parking during the week. There is also a lot located 3 blocks west of us in the Carnegie business district.

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS INFORMATION
The Artsmiths of Pittsburgh is dedicated to the best practices in arts education, including developing and implementing age-appropriate visual arts curriculum for our students. Each child, teen and family program is designed to meet the unique social and developmental needs of children in each age bracket. There are also different equipment use guidelines for each age group. Generally we require children to attend programming based on the age brackets provided. If you have a question about a child near the age requirements, please the Education Manager.
Staff is not allowed to dispense non-emergency medication to students. All routine or emergency medications being taken while at Artsmiths must be detailed at time of registration. If a student is unable to administer his/her own non-emergency medication, a designated adult must come on-site to dispense it. Emergency medication must be labeled with the student’s full name and given to the Instructor on the first day of class or camp. Emergency medication will be stored in the child’s classroom and taken on any field trips.
The Artsmiths of Pittsburgh is committed to providing an enjoyable art-making experience for all students and strives to create an inclusive and welcoming artistic community. Please share information about your child’s allergies or other special needs at the time of registration. Parents or guardians are encouraged to contact the Education Manager to discuss any needs a student may have which would impact his/her participation in an educational program. This information will be kept confidential and is intended solely to help us to help your child have a great experience.
Your child’s image may be photographed or reproduced in promotional materials. You can indicate whether you do or do not authorize the use of your child’s image at the time of registration.
Snacks, Lunch and Other Materials or Items Needed
Unless specifically stated in your program’s description, all supplies are provided for child, teen and family programs. Lunch and snacks are not provided. Students who are staying for full day programming must make lunch supervision arrangements at time of registration. Students in classes often use messy materials; you may send your child with a labeled apron or smock to wear while engaged in art making.
Supervision, Before & After Camp Care
Students are not permitted to be dropped off more than 15 minutes prior to the start of camp or picked up more than 15 minutes following the end of camp unless otherwise agreed upon by the Education Manager. Adult supervision is offered immediately before, during and immediately after programming only. Program attendance is based on cooperation with this policy.
