Art4All

Artsmiths will be working with existing organizations through Summer 2023.

Art4AllPGH is our umbrella term for free arts programming in our community. We provide this because:

  • Our suburban area does not have a significant arts organization to support high quality arts education.

  • Many local school districts continue to cut back on arts programming.

  • Economic circumstances prevent many local families from affording out of school arts classes.

  • Racial bias can create barriers to interacting with art.

  • We want to increase access to the arts for local immigrant families.

  • Out of School Programs

We currently support art programming for three local nonprofit organizations near us who work with underresourced groups. This includes Boys & Girls Club of Carnegie, South Hills Interfaith Mission and Attawheed Islamic Center. We provide art project materials and instructions that are part of their out of school programming.

  • Carnegie Community

As members of the Carnegie community we offer a wide variety of free activities for adults and children. These usually take place in our classroom and are offered at a variety of events in the business district (Crawls, Arts Walk, Fall Fest).

  • Carnegie Free Library

We partner with the Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall to run monthly adult and children’s classes. These are free and open to the public. Registration takes place at www.carnegiefreelibrary.com.

  • Scholarship

We offer a small number of scholarships for our classes and summer camps. If you feel you need a full or partial scholarship in order to participate in our programming, please click here for the application.

Projects Delivered

What began as a response to the pandemic shutdown in 2020, has grown as we continue to seek partnerships to deliver art projects to underserved populations.
