Carnegie Arts Walk
Juried Art Show Application
Rules and Requirements

  1. Eligibility and Terms
    - Open to artists 18 years and older and living in Carnegie and surrounding communities.
    - Works must have been completed in the last five years.
    - All works must be original and the artist must own all rights to the images contained therein.
    - All artwork must be for sale.
    - Reproduction prints will not be accepted.
    - UP TO FIVE (5) PIECES CAN BE SUBMITTED.

  2. Eligible Media
    - Works on Paper, Works on Canvas or Board, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Jewelry, Photography

  3. Eligible Sizes
    - Frame size: Height maximum 36”
    - Sculpture: Weight maximum 25lbs.

  4. Framing and Finishing
    - All work must be framed, wired and ready to hang.
    - Please substitute Plexiglas for glass when framing two-dimensional work; glass can only be used when framing pastels.

  5. Submitting Information
    - Each artist should submit one to two images of each piece they wish to be considered for exhibit.
    - Each submission must include; the title of the artwork, year completed, medium and dimensions (Height, Width, Length)
    - If accepted, a short biography or artist statement will be required.
    - Artists are able to attach documents to the Call for Entry available here.

  6. Sales and Liability
    - In the event of a sale, the artists will earn 100% of the sales price of the exhibited work.
    - All artwork will be sold as is, including the frame.
    - All artwork should have a selling price that includes the frame.

  7. Reproduction
    - By applying to this exhibition, permission is granted to allow the Carnegie Arts Walk to photograph, publicize and reproduce the works submitted for the show, in whole or in part, for various types of marketing and promotion. This right is perpetual and non-royalty bearing.

  8. Notification
    - The Carnegie Arts Walk Committee will conduct the initial review of submissions for the view of the Jurors and Selection Committee.
    - Accepted and non-accepted artists will be notified by July 7, 2023.
    - Artists will receive further instructions if their work is accepted.

  9. Drop-off and Pick-up
    - Drop-off instructions will be sent to accepted artists.
    - Each artist will be responsible for shipping or delivering their artwork to and from the exhibition venue.
    - The artist will assume payment responsibility for the return shipment(s) of artwork NOT PICKED UP.

  10. Jury and Award Process
    - Jury will award prizes ranging from $300 to $50 for Best in Show, 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place.

REMINDERS
- If accepted, all works must be delivered ready for display.
- When stating the selling price, it should reflect framed artwork.
- The Selection Committee reserves the right to final selection.
- All applications must be submitted in full by JULY 3, 2023.
- Accepted and non-accepted artists will be notified no later than JULY 15, 2023.
